Daniel Brown

Daniel Brown is a full-time Professor of Architecture at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), holding a position since 2008. He previously served as Associate Chair of the Department of Architecture and Urban Design from 2015 to 2017. His academic background includes an M.Arch from the Catholic University of America and a B.Des in interior design from Lynn University.

His professional practice focuses on architecture and urban design, with expertise in residential, commercial, and ecclesiastical projects. He leads C.E.D. Design, LLC, managing residential projects in Georgia, Ohio, and Texas since 2007. His design experience includes roles at firms like Cogdell and Mendrala Architects and Fowler Design Associates, emphasizing sustainable and collaborative design approaches.

Students under his guidance have achieved notable awards, including the Disney Imagineering Competition (2017–2019), AIA Georgia Design Award (2018), and Architecture Newspaper’s Best of Individual Student Award (2018).

He is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), faculty adviser for the American Institute of Architecture Students, and affiliated with the U.S. Green Building Council.
