Professor Richard Brazier is an academic in the Department of Geography at the University of Exeter. With a career spanning over two decades, he has held roles at Lancaster University, Leicester University, King’s College London, and the University of Sheffield before joining Exeter in 2006. His research focuses on earth surface processes, particularly soil erosion, water quality, and landscape restoration, integrating field observations, GIS, and numerical modeling.
- Education: BSc in Physical Geography (1995, Lancaster University), PhD in Environmental Science (2000, Lancaster University).
Since 2021, he has co-directed the Centre for Resilience in Environment, Water and Waste (CREWW), a £21 million initiative partnering with South West Water. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to environmental science and hydrology, with a strong focus on data uncertainty and sustainable land management.
