معرفی
Richard Badge is an Associate Professor in Bioinformatics at the University of Leicester's Department of Genetics and Genome Biology. His research utilizes computational and molecular genomic methods to study transposable elements in humans, rodents, and primates.
He completed his undergraduate studies in pure and applied biology at Keble College, Oxford University, followed by a Ph.D. in evolutionary population biology and molecular genetics of fruit fly transposable elements at the University of Nottingham. His postdoctoral work includes a Wellcome Trust International Travelling Fellowship focused on human transposable elements at the University of Michigan and the University of Leicester.
Badge's research investigates mobile genetic elements across species, combining bioinformatic approaches with laboratory techniques to understand their evolutionary dynamics and functional significance in genomes.
- Wellcome Trust International Travelling Fellowship
He contributes to genomic research through methodological development and empirical studies of transposon biology, with particular interest in comparative genomics of primates and rodents.
