Richard Anyah

Dr. Richard Anyah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Resources & the Environment at the University of Connecticut, where he has served since 2008 (as Assistant Professor from 2008-2014 and Associate Professor since 2014). His research focuses on coupled climate-hydrologic systems, with particular emphasis on sub-Saharan Africa and the Greater Horn of Africa regions.

Dr. Anyah's educational background includes:

Dr. Anyah's research interests span multiple dimensions of climate science and hydrology. His primary focus is on coupled regional climate-hydrologic modeling and analysis, with special attention to groundwater reservoirs and water table dynamics in regional climates, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa. His work explores regional hydroclimate dynamics, variability and extremes and their impacts on water resources, agriculture and food systems. He also investigates regional climate change impacts and vulnerability assessments as well as climate-human-ecosystems interactions.
