Dr. Jamiat Nanteza is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Tulane University's School of Science & Engineering. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Irvine (2016) and an MSc from the University of Reading (2008). His research examines hydrology, water cycle dynamics, GRACE satellite applications, groundwater sustainability, and community water adaptation strategies in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr. Nanteza teaches courses including Introduction to Remote Sensing (EENS-4180/6180), Planet Earth (EENS 1110), and Groundwater Hydrology (EENS 4300). His publications focus on global water storage sensitivity, groundwater monitoring in data-deficient regions, and community-based water solutions in Uganda.
