Richard Adams

Richard Adams serves as a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Department of Design, Manufacturing and Engineering Management within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde. With extensive international experience designing transportation systems and NHS medical products, he brings practical industry insights to his academic role.

His research focuses on human-centred design methodologies and the visual perception of products, examining how product appearance changes based on viewing angles and contexts. Recent work explores AI applications in engineering education, particularly ChatGPT's impact on pedagogy and assessment practices.
