Richa Acharya is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia College, where she shares her expertise in project management and business leadership. She currently works as a Senior Project Manager for Genesys, a Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) company, with over two decades of experience in the tech industry.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management (2009) and Master of Business Administration (2014) from Columbia College-Denver. Her career began with balancing demanding work at a gas station while studying, culminating in graduating summa cum laude, followed by a corporate role in project management.
Acharya emphasizes lifelong learning and networking, advising students to embrace discomfort as a catalyst for growth. Her professional trajectory reflects resilience in overcoming cultural and professional challenges as a Nepali immigrant to the U.S. She also highlights the importance of mentorship and adaptability in shaping personal and family legacies.
At the Columbia College-Denver Commencement ceremony in 2025, she encouraged graduates to redefine success through perseverance and strategic skill development, drawing from her own journey of balancing education, work, and immigration.
