Riccardo PICCARDI is a CNRS Researcher at the Université Paris Descartes, affiliated with the Chemistry towards Life Sciences department (UMR 8601). He has held this position since 2014, following roles as a CNRS Researcher at Université Paris Sud (2009–2014) and a Post-Doctoral Fellow at institutions in Lyon, Munich, and Switzerland. His expertise spans organic and organometallic chemistry, with a focus on synthetic methodologies for bioconjugation and flow chemistry applications.
Research Interests: His work centers on the reactivity of α-alkynyl-diazosilanes and dimethylalkynylaluminum reagents, emphasizing their utility in protein functionalization and continuous flow synthesis. Key areas include organometallic chemistry, bioconjugation strategies, and sustainable synthetic methods.
Teaching & Administration: Teaches flow chemistry and minor chemistry courses. Administrative roles include Health and Safety Assistant and Webmaster.
Collaborations: Works with Prof. Emmanuelle SACHON (Sorbonne Université) and contributes to networks like the GdR Synthflux.
Grants: Secured funding including the 2024 IdEX “Emergence” Université Paris Cité grant (Light Carbenes project) and a 2010 Université Paris Sud-11 grant.
