Ricardo Lagos is a Professor of Economics at New York University, with affiliations at the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Econometric Society. His research focuses on the role of money in modern economies, liquidity in over-the-counter markets, microstructure of money markets, and monetary policy transmission mechanisms.
He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Prior to his current role, he served as a Lecturer at the London School of Economics and a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
