Ricardo Albarracin Sanchez

Ricardo Albarracin Sanchez is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Automatic Electronics and Applied Physics at the School of Industrial Engineering and Design (ETSIDI) of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He currently serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UPM (effective January 2025), following prior academic appointments as University Professor (2022-present), Contracted Doctor Professor (2019-2022), and Assistant Doctor Professor (2016-2019).

His research centers on electrical industrial engineering with specialized focus on low/high voltage networks, renewable energy integration, and sustainable power systems. As a core member of the "Low and high voltage networks and installations" research group, his work bridges theoretical advances with industrial applications in energy engineering.
