Ricarda Wünsch is a part-time Researcher and PhD candidate at the Chair of Political Philosophy, Theory and History of Ideas under Prof. Dr. Eva Odzuck at the University of Regensburg. She holds a double bachelor's degree in Political Science and Iberoroman Studies (Latin American Studies) from Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (2017–2021) and a master's in Political Science (2021–2023). Currently, she combines her research on algorithmic systems in digital public spheres with teaching roles and academic governance.
Education:
- Bachelor: Political Science (1st subject) and Iberoroman Studies (2nd subject), FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (2017–2021)
- Master: Political Science, FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg (2021–2023)
Research Interests: Focuses on John Rawls' political theory, democratic citizenship, and the impact of digital technologies (especially algorithms) on democratic societies. Her doctoral project examines algorithmic systems in digitalized public spheres through Rawls' deliberative citizenship framework.
Teaching & Engagement: Led exercises in political philosophy (Summer 2024), taught introductory courses on citizenship theories (Winter 2024/25), and serves as deputy doctoral representative. Active in organizing conferences like the 33rd Bavarian Doctoral Program on political disagreement and digital democracy.
Professional Experience: Prior roles include internships at Erlanger Nachrichten, work in communications and training at Siemens (2018–2023), and volunteering at the Erlangen Women's Center since 2024.
