Prof. Rianne Jacobs holds the Endowed Professorships in Constitutional and Administrative Law and Public Contract Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam's Faculty of Law. She is also a Kooijmans Institute Endowed Professor. Her roles include authoring legal texts for Wolters Kluwer, serving as a guest lecturer at the Academy for Legislation, and acting as a judge at the College van Beroep voor het bedrijfsleven. Her research focuses on administrative law, legislation quality, regulatory frameworks, and experimental law.
Research interests span administrative law, public contract law, and regulatory theory, with emphasis on subsidy law and legislative drafting. Her recent work includes studies on competitive tendering and experimental legal frameworks. She actively contributes to legal education and policy through ancillary roles in publishing and academic committees.
