Rhiannon Randle

Rhiannon Randle is an award-winning composer, violinist, soprano, teacher and academic currently serving as a Lecturer in the Academic Studies Department at Guildhall School. She teaches Composition and Musical Awareness at Junior Guildhall and supervises undergraduates at Cambridge University.

Her educational background includes studying Music at Cambridge, followed by an MPhil in Composition at Cambridge with Richard Causton and Jeremy Thurlow. She was a Leverhulme Arts Scholar on Guildhall School's MA in Opera Making & Writing, graduating with Distinction under Julian Philips and Julian Anderson. She previously attended Junior Guildhall where she won The Principal's Prize and Environ Music Composition Prize.

Rhiannon is heralded as one of the UK's bright, emerging choral composers with works published by Boosey & Hawkes and Stainer & Bell. Her music has been performed by prestigious ensembles including Sarah Connolly, BBC Singers, Britten Sinfonia, Heath Quartet, and Choirs of King's and Trinity College Cambridge, and broadcast on BBC Radio 3. She has composed three chamber operas, one in association with the Royal Opera House.

As an educator, Rhiannon bridges academic instruction with professional composition practice.
