Rhian Lewis is a Tutor in Psychology at Swansea University, affiliated with the School of Psychology within the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. Her primary role involves assisting with teaching and marking in Year 1 and 2 Research Methods and Statistics courses, with a specialization in qualitative research methods. She also serves as an academic mentor for Year 2 undergraduates, providing guidance on academic and personal experiences. Lewis is nearing completion of her PhD, investigating the psychological and physical impacts of bereavement following unsuccessful out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OOHCA) using mixed methodologies.
Her areas of expertise include trauma and bereavement, health psychology, and the clinical application of research. She has presented her work at conferences such as the International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ISICEM) in Belgium and the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACAP). Her research focuses on supporting individuals affected by sudden loss in medical emergencies.
