Rezhan Hussein

Dr. Rezhan Hussein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He joined the institution in September 2017 after completing an Infectious Diseases Fellowship at West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Hussein is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and the American College of Physicians (ACP), and holds certifications in HIV Medicine and Clinical Tropical Medicine.

• Research Focus: Clinical trials for infectious diseases (e.g., NIAID ACTT/ACTIV-5 trials for COVID-19), penicillin allergy management, and pediatric pneumonia outcomes.
• Teaching: Consistently recognized as an 'Exceptional Teacher' and mentor for student/resident abstract presentations.
