Reza Mortazavi is an Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Economics at the School of Culture and Society, Dalarna University. He teaches economics at all levels, including introductory microeconomics, applied mathematics for economists, and econometrics. His research focuses on applied economics with a strong empirical orientation, emphasizing individual behavior and public policy evaluation. Key research areas include energy economics, transport demand, environmental policy, waste management, and the relationship between income and health. Recent work examines government subsidies to firms and the effectiveness of short-time work schemes during the COVID-19 crisis.
