Anshumaan Tuteja is an empirical macroeconomist set to join Ashoka University as an Assistant Professor of Economics in August 2024. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick (2023), an MRes in Economics from the University of Warwick (2019–2021), and an MPhil in Economics from Delhi School of Economics (2015–2017). His research focuses on unconventional monetary policies, macro-finance linkages, and household inflation expectations. He has conducted traineeships at the European Stability Mechanism (2020–2021).
His major research areas include analyzing the impact of quantitative easing (QE) on financial markets, cross-border monetary policy transmission in the Euro Area, and labor markets' role in shaping household expectations. He combines structural econometric models and event study techniques to disentangle policy shocks from market reactions.
Key publications include a job market paper on QE's decomposition effects on the S&P500 index and a co-authored book chapter on India's monetary transmission mechanisms. His work emphasizes high-frequency financial data and SVAR modeling to identify causal policy impacts.
Teaching experience includes graduate-level macroeconomics and introductory econometrics at the University of Warwick (2018–2022). He collaborates with renowned economists such as Christine Braun, Pami Dua, and Giovanni Ricco on projects addressing global macroeconomic challenges.
