Reuven Brenner is a retired Professor of Finance, History, Political Science, and Economics at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. He holds a PhD, MA, and BSc from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Brenner's career includes roles at Université de Montréal, the University of Chicago, New York University, and the Hebrew University. He has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Canada Council's Killam Fellowship and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. His research focuses on risk-taking, entrepreneurship, and prosperity, with notable contributions to finance, history, and political science. Brenner has authored eight influential books, including Rivalry and The Force of Finance, and his work has been featured in Forbes, Wall Street Journal, and academic journals. He has advised institutions like the Bank of America and served on boards, including McGill University’s Pension Fund Investment Committee.
