Reut Livne-Tarandach is an Associate Professor and Louis Capalbo Faculty Chair at Manhattan University's Management & Marketing department. She holds a Ph.D. from Boston College, an MSc from the Technion (Israel), and a B.A. from Ben-Gurion University. Her research focuses on humanistic management, emphasizing compassion, dignity, and community in organizations. She explores how organizations can foster human flourishing through compassionate practices, create inclusive environments, and design social architectures that support marginalized groups. Dr. Livne-Tarandach has published in top-tier journals like the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Organizational Behavior, and her work bridges theory with practical applications in leadership and service innovation.
Her research has been recognized with awards such as the Louis Capalbo Chair (2023–Present) and an Honorary Mention from the Center for Positive Organizational Scholarship (2022). She serves as an Associate Editor of the Business and Society Review and on the editorial board of the Academy of Management Journal. She is a faculty affiliate at the University of Michigan's Center for Positive Organizations and guest editor for a special issue on grief in organizations.
Dr. Livne-Tarandach's research grants include funding for studies on humanistic management performativity (2022) and diversity initiatives (2017). Her work often integrates qualitative methods and institutional logics to address systemic challenges in organizational practices, advocating for organizations as life-giving spaces that prioritize human dignity and community.
