Dr. Reuel Hanks is a Professor of Geography at Oklahoma State University (OSU) since 2008. His expertise spans political and cultural geography, with a focus on Central Asia, post-Soviet states, and regional economic development. He holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Kansas (1993) and has conducted extensive fieldwork in Uzbekistan under a 1995 Fulbright Fellowship. His research explores topics such as the politicization of Islam, energy geopolitics, urban morphology, and the spatial dimensions of economic policy.
