Renee Turchi, MD, MPH, FAAP is a Professor and Academic Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Drexel University College of Medicine, and a Professor in the Department of Community Health and Prevention at Dornsife School of Public Health. She serves as the medical director of the Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, overseeing programs for children with special health care needs, including fetal alcohol spectrum disorders and NICU follow-up initiatives.

Research Interests: Dr. Turchi's work focuses on care coordination, maternal/child health, and developmental/behavioral disorders in children with special health care needs. Her studies explore interventions to improve adaptive functioning and the impact of pharmacological treatments on cognitive development in youth with sickle cell disease.
Awards & Recognition: Dr. Turchi has been honored as a Top Doctor by Philadelphia Magazine (2018, 2021, 2023, 2024) and received the Pennsylvania Pediatrician of the Year award from the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2017.
Program Leadership: She directs the Pennsylvania Medical Home Program and Transition Program, which support pediatric and family practices across the state through funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and Maternal Child Health Bureau.
