Renee Goreham

Dr. Renee Goreham is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at The University of Newcastle. Her research focuses on nanotechnology, particularly the synthesis, characterization, and biomedical applications of nanomaterials such as quantum dots and extracellular vesicles. She explores their use in drug delivery, disease diagnosis, and energy storage. Dr. Goreham holds a PhD in NanoBiotechnology from the University of South Australia (2014) and has held academic positions at Victoria University of Wellington and the University of Newcastle. She has been recognized with awards including the Women in Research Fellowship (2020), AIP NSW Community Outreach Award, and the 2024 Superstar of STEM title.
