Dr. Renee Buhr is Professor of Political Science and International Studies at the University of St. Thomas, where she has served as Director of the International Studies program since 2012. Her research examines nationalism, political developments in Europe and Former Soviet States, and the effects of European integration.
With international experience including visiting professorships at Sciences Po-Bordeaux, her work bridges academia and policy through previous positions at RAND Corporation, CIA, and World Bank. She teaches courses in world politics, international security, and capstone seminars.
Dr. Buhr holds degrees from University of Wisconsin and University of Chicago, with additional studies at Sciences Po-Aix in France. Her interdisciplinary approach connects political science theory with real-world applications in international affairs.
