Renato Iannelli is a Full Professor of Sanitary-Environmental Engineering at the University of Pisa, affiliated with the Department of Energy, Systems, Land and Construction Engineering (DESTEC). He has held academic roles since 2001, becoming Deputy Director of DESTEC since 2016. His expertise spans environmental engineering, water treatment, and waste management, with a focus on innovative remediation technologies like phytoremediation and electrokinetic processes. He has led numerous national and European projects, including the LIFE SEKRET initiative for sediment decontamination.
