Renata Relja is a full Professor with permanent appointment at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Split. She serves as Head of Department for both Sociology of Education and Sociology of Work, actively teaching undergraduate, graduate, and lifelong learning programs while leading multiple academic projects.
Her research centers on Sociology of Education, Sociology of Work, and Sociology of Entertainment, with significant contributions to Sociology of Literature and Tourism Sociology. She employs ethnographic methodologies to analyze cultural dynamics in contemporary society, particularly focusing on educational systems, labor structures, and leisure industries through critical theoretical frameworks.
Professor Relja supervises extensive student research including undergraduate theses, graduate dissertations, and research papers across sociological subfields. She leads key projects such as Micro Perspectives in Sociological Theories and Tourism in Contemporary Society, directing sociological research workshops while maintaining active roles in curriculum development for democratic citizenship education and business ethics.
