Renata Callegari Ferrari

Dr. Renata Callegari Ferrari is a Researcher at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, affiliated with the Faculty of Biology and the Department of Systematics, Biodiversity, and Evolution of Plants. She works under the supervision of Prof. Kadereit, focusing on molecular mechanisms and physiology of photosynthesis, particularly C₄ and CAM adaptations, and their evolutionary and environmental implications.

Her research explores both long-term evolutionary processes and short-term responses to abiotic factors like water and nutrient availability. This work has significant applications in sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation amid climate change. Collaborations include institutions such as KU Leuven, the University of Liverpool, and the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.
