Dr. Renata Butkutė is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnology, Vilnius University, specializing in A3-B5 semiconductor heterostructures for photonics. Her research focuses on GaAsBi and InGaN quantum wells, terahertz technology, and semiconductor material engineering. She coordinates the COST Action OPERA and ESA Irbis project.
- Research Interests: Photonics, semiconductor heterostructures, quantum wells, terahertz radiation, crystal growth, optical anisotropy
- Teaching: Courses on nanostructures, semiconductor technologies, and materials engineering for Master’s and Bachelor’s programs
Scientific Awards: Awarded by Vilnius University Rector for Light Engineering program development and a French Ministry grant. She participates in Horizon Europe evaluation and serves on editorial boards of Lithuania Journal of Physics and Nanomaterials MDPI.
