معرفی
Dr. Peter Carrington is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at Lancaster University. His research focuses on Mid-Infrared Photonics, Thermophotovoltaics (TPVs), Quantum Dot Solar Cells, and Silicon Photonics. He also explores III-V Nanostructures and Renewable Energy Materials.
His recent publications emphasize Molecular Beam Epitaxy for mid-infrared devices, Quantum Dots in photovoltaics, and Semiconductor Integration on Silicon. His work spans InAsSb, GaSb, and Type-II Heterostructures for LEDs, lasers, and solar cells. Current projects include ICASE: Mid-Infrared Photonic Devices (2024–2029) and Mid-Infrared LEDs for Health and Environmental Monitoring (2019–2020).
Dr. Carrington's research group, Engineering of Microwaves, Terahertz and Light (E-MIT), connects to Quantum Technology Research at Lancaster. He supervises projects in Mid-Infrared Photonics and Quantum Dot Solar Cells.
