René Hauser

Dr. René Hauser serves as the Dean of the School of Education at St. Bonaventure University since April 2022, following her role as Interim Dean since January 2022. She has been a faculty member since 2004, leading programs such as Differentiated Instruction (2009–2019) and Inclusive Special Education (2019–present). Her expertise spans teacher education, accreditation, and leadership, including steering NCATE/CAEP accreditation processes.

• Doctorate in Special Education from University at Buffalo
• Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SBU

Research & Leadership: Committed to inclusive education and educator preparation, Hauser co-directs the Center for Attention, Learning, and Memory. Her service includes chairing the Faculty Senate (2020–present), Graduate Council (2016–2019), and overseeing accreditation as Assessment Coordinator (2011–present). She has led over 25 university committees, emphasizing institutional governance and community impact.
