Remy Dubertrand is a Research Fellow at the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Electrical Engineering at the University of Northumbria. He obtained his PhD in Theoretical Physics from the University of Paris-Sud Orsay in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. E. Bogomolny. Following postdoctoral research in the UK, France, Belgium, and Germany, he joined Northumbria as a Vice-Chancellor Fellow in 2019.
His research focuses on quantum complex systems, particularly the semiclassical analysis of chaotic systems and the extension of quantum chaos techniques to many-body systems. Key areas include Anderson localization in random graphs, ergodicity, and scaling theory in quantum phase transitions. His work bridges quantum mechanics, nonlinear dynamics, and mathematical physics.
Remy supervises PhD student David Martin, who explores semiclassical thermalisation in quantum many-body models. Though no scientific awards are listed, his contributions to quantum chaos and many-body systems are evident through his publications. His research also intersects with experimental setups, such as studies of organic microlasers and cold atom systems.
