Remus Pricopie

Remus Pricopie is a Professor at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest, Romania. He has served as Rector of SNSPA since December 2014, with a prior term from March to December 2012, and previously as Dean of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations (2008–2012). His career spans academia, government, and international consultancy.

• Educated across five countries and nine institutions, including Harvard University and the Institute of Education, London University.
• Governmental roles: Minister of Education and Research (2012–2014), State Secretary of Higher Education and Research (2007–2008), and senior advisor to multiple education ministries.

His research focuses on public communication, institutional public relations, educational management, and the internationalization of higher education. He has authored 12 books and 28 academic articles, led over 30 research grants, and contributed to EU research policy design.

He has undertaken consultancy roles with the World Bank Group in The Gambia (2015–2017) and Kosovo (2016–2017), and holds leadership roles in international academic organizations, including the International Association of Universities and the Permanent Academic Forum EU-LAC.

• Scientific awards and memberships include Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science (2013), President of the Romanian Chapter of the Club of Rome (since 2002), and involvement in UNESCO and EU-LAC summits.
