Remo Monti is a Researcher at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam, Germany, affiliated with the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC-Berlin). He works under the Chair of Professor Christoph Lippert for Digital Health & Machine Learning. His research focuses on applying deep learning to regulatory genomics, genetic variant analysis, and developing methods for rare-variant association studies to uncover disease mechanisms. He is actively involved in organizing interdisciplinary events such as the Digital Health Partnership Workshop and the DHC Research Retreat.
Key research activities include:
- Deep learning feature extraction from genomic datasets
- Prediction of genetic variant effects using neural networks
- Integration of AI-derived insights into clinical trial methodologies
Professional activities include:
- Organizing the 2025 Digital Health Partnership Workshop in Potsdam
- Leading the DHC Research Retreat (June 30-July 2, 2025)
- Co-hosting the Mount Sinai Digital Health Workshop (May 2025)
His work bridges computational methods with clinical applications, emphasizing translational research in digital health and precision medicine.
