Remco Duits

Remco Duits is Associate Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, leading research in mathematical image analysis and geometric deep learning. His work develops PDE-based methods on Lie groups for medical imaging, crack detection in infrastructure, and optimal transport. Key innovations include equivariant neural networks for homogeneous spaces and geodesic tracking algorithms for vascular analysis.

Dr. Duits holds an ERC Starting Grant (2013) for Lie Group Analysis in Medical Imaging and an NWO VICI Grant (2021) for Geometric Learning. His team pioneers data-driven Cartan connections for vascular tree tracking and PDE-CNN architectures with axiomatic foundations.
