Jun. Prof. Dr. Reinhold Kesler is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, affiliated with the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics (DICE). He holds a PhD from the University of Zurich (2019) and degrees from the University of Mannheim (BSc 2013, MSc 2015). His research focuses on digital platforms' market power, user data valuation, and competition policy in digital markets. He has held roles including Senior Research Associate at the University of Zurich and Research Associate at ZEW Mannheim. His work combines empirical methods with policy analysis, addressing issues like privacy regulation, antitrust implications, and digital innovation.
