Reinhold Glei is Professor of Latin Philology at Ruhr University Bochum, where he holds the Chair of Latin Philology in the Department of Philology and serves at the Institute of Classics. His research focuses on the history of Christian-Islamic relations during the Middle Ages and Early Modern periods, Latin philology, classical reception studies, and metaphor theory in religious contexts. He leads the Collaborative Research Center 1475 'Metaphors of Religion' as Principal Investigator and directs its Subproject C01, while also affiliating with the CERES Research Department.
