Reineke van Tol is a researcher and PhD candidate (Promovendus) at Wageningen University & Research within the Department of Forest and Nature Conservation Policy. Her work focuses on relational outdoor learning approaches, employing a posthuman feminist lens to explore human and more-than-human relationships. She teaches courses such as People's Contributions to Forest & Nature Conservation and Wild Perspectives, emphasizing transformative and sustainable development education.
Her research methods include innovative practices like walking interviews, aiming to decentre the human species in environmental discourse. She has published in journals like Children, Youth and Environments and the Australian Journal of Environmental Education, and her work has been featured in media outlets such as Trouw and Resource.
