Dr. Reginald Pittman is a Professor of Voice and Director of Opera at the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at Kansas State University. He teaches both undergraduate and graduate voice courses while directing Opera Scenes Concerts and full opera productions. Additionally, he serves as an advisor for the Friends of K-State Opera.
- President of the National Opera Association (2016–2018)
- Governor of the West Central Region of NATS (2014–2017)
- Director of the Flint Hills Masterworks Chorale (2002–2014)
His research and professional work focus on vocal performance, opera staging, and music theater training. He has extensive experience in opera direction, leading over twenty productions at Kansas State University, and has contributed to the international exposure of the university’s chorale through performances in Europe.

Dr. Pittman’s students have achieved national acclaim in NATS auditions and participated in prestigious opera programs globally. He studied voice under Dr. Ed Baird and Margaret Harshaw, earning his Doctor of Music Degree from Indiana University.
