Regina Bernhaupt

Regina Bernhaupt is Full Professor of Measuring and Analyzing Quality of Dynamic Real Life Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) with joint appointments in Industrial Design and at EAISI (Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute). Her research focuses on usability and user experience evaluation across all design phases, particularly for entertainment technologies. She directs the Design of Empowering Systems group within the Industrial Design department.

Her research interests span human-computer interaction, tangible interfaces, behavioral change through technology, and data physicalization. She employs interdisciplinary approaches drawing from artificial intelligence, computer science, and psychology to develop evaluation methodologies.

Lab & Team: Leads the Games and Play research squad exploring tangible data visualization and behavioral change through games. Maintains industrial partnerships with Ruwido Austria and research collaborations with Parco Archeologico di Pompei and Herculaneum Conservation Project.
