Dr. Ree Jordan is a Senior Lecturer in Management at the School of Business, University of Queensland. Her research focuses on organizational outliers, maverickism, and Indigenous leadership, emphasizing beneficial non-conformity and transformative change. She holds a PhD in Management from UQ and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Monash University.
Her professional experience spans leadership development and organizational change across government, education, and not-for-profit sectors. Key research areas include mavericks' role in innovation, Indigenous women’s leadership, and decolonizing organizational practices. She has published widely in management journals and co-authored chapters on gender equality in leadership and Indigenous knowledge systems.
Recent work includes exploring maverickism’s impact on radical organizational change and co-creating research with Indigenous knowledge holders. Her articles and conference presentations highlight the strategic value of non-conformity and culturally responsive leadership models.
