Red Wierenga is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Sonic Arts at the Conservatory of Music, Brooklyn College (CUNY). A pianist, accordionist, and composer, he specializes in electroacoustic improvisation and new interface development for music performance. His creative work with the Respect Sextet has garnered critical acclaim, including recognition from the Wall Street Journal and Signal to Noise.
- Bachelor’s in Music, Eastman School of Music (studied with Harold Danko, Ralph Alessi, Kevin Puts)

Wierenga’s research focuses on:
