Dr. Rebecca Wolff is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Fine Art and Art History at Christopher Newport University. Her research focuses on modern and contemporary African art, particularly Nigerian art's intersections with postcolonialism, memory, and trauma. She is currently completing a book manuscript titled Experience and Memory: The Nigerian Civil War (1967–1970) and Nigerian Contemporary Art, examining how artistic production engages with conflict and trauma. Her work has been supported by grants from institutions like the Smithsonian Institution, ACLS, UCLA, and the Harry Ransom Center.
