Rebecca Sherburn is an Associate Professor and Director of Vocal Studies at Chapman University's Conservatory of Music within the College of Performing Arts. She holds a Bachelor of Music from California State University, Los Angeles, and both Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Southern California.
Her research focuses on vocal pedagogy, contemporary music performance, and interdisciplinary artistic collaboration. She specializes in voice articulation mechanics, resonance techniques, and historically informed performances of exiled composers' works.
Recent scholarly output demonstrates strong emphasis on vocal technique education through video tutorials and cross-disciplinary performances integrating theater, dance, and musicology. Her publications frequently explore intersections of cultural history and artistic expression.
