Rebecca Sewell

Rebecca Sewell serves as Lecturer in Enterprise Practice at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School within the Department of Strategy, Enterprise and Sustainability, actively contributing to the Centre for Enterprise's mission of advancing SME initiatives and external collaborations across the Faculty.

Her academic foundation includes a BA (Hons) 2:1 in American Studies from the University of Central Lancashire complemented by Prince 2 Practitioner certification.

Her professional focus centers on entrepreneurship and SME development, with specialized expertise in digital transformation for micro-enterprises. She designs accessible business education frameworks addressing critical domains including digital adoption, financial management, market expansion, and workforce productivity through innovative project delivery.

Rebecca leads high-impact funded initiatives including the OPEN SME online platform (2022–present) delivering actionable learning for business owners, the Department for Education's Skills Bootcamps IN Digital (2021–2022) upskilling tech candidates, and the ERASMUS+ DiTEM project engaging 500+ European micro-enterprise leaders in digital leadership training. These efforts leverage funding from ERASMUS+, ESF, ERDF, and UK government programs to drive tangible SME growth outcomes.

She operates within the Centre for Enterprise ecosystem, developing collaborative frameworks that connect academic expertise with real-world business challenges across Greater Manchester and European partner networks.
