Dr. Rebecca Saunders is an Assistant Professor & Lecturer in Education at Mary Immaculate College (MIC), Ireland. She holds a PhD and extensive academic qualifications including a BA (Hons), Dip Ed, and MA. Her primary affiliation is with the Faculty of Education, where she specializes in instructional leadership, systemic educational change, and teacher professional learning. She advises numerous doctoral and master’s students across topics like mindfulness in vocational education, nurse identity development, and middle leadership in post-primary schools.
Research Interests: Saunders focuses on instructional intelligence, emotions in educational change, and reform in further education and training. Her work bridges theory and practice, emphasizing teacher agency and the emotional dimensions of professional development.
