Rebecca Rossen serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance within the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin. She maintains cross-disciplinary affiliations as faculty affiliate in Women's and Gender Studies, Jewish Studies, and American Studies, reflecting her interdisciplinary research approach.
Her educational foundation includes a Ph.D. from Northwestern University (2006).

Rossen's research interrogates intersections of dance, identity, and historical trauma with particular focus on Jewish cultural expression. Her scholarship examines how physical performance mediates collective memory, especially regarding Holocaust representation, while analyzing gender, ethnicity, and nationalism through embodied practices. Current projects investigate transgenerational trauma transmission in contemporary dance works.
