Dr. Rebecca Raeside is a Research Fellow at the Sydney Nursing School within the Faculty of Medicine and Health at The University of Sydney. She recently completed her PhD on January 23, 2025, following competitive scholarships from the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ), NHMRC-Funded SOLVE-CHD, and The University of Sydney. As a member of the Charles Perkins Centre, she holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc).
Her research focuses on adolescent health, public health, digital health, health promotion, disease prevention, and youth engagement. Dr. Raeside leads the Health4Me nationwide clinical trial, which successfully recruited 390 adolescents in under 12 months using digital recruitment strategies. This research is funded by a MRFF Primary Care Grant ($511K, 2021-25), where she co-chairs the 21-member steering committee spanning academia, health, and community sectors.
Analysis of her 45 peer-reviewed publications (13 first-author, 3 senior-author, h-index 16, 715 citations) reveals strong emphasis on digital health interventions for adolescents, mHealth applications in chronic disease management, and youth engagement in public health research. Her work spans systematic reviews, clinical trials, and qualitative studies examining how digital environments shape adolescent health behaviors and outcomes.

Dr. Raeside has received multiple awards including the Charles Perkins Centre Professional Development Award (2024), Top 4 Finalist in the National Public Health Student Think Tank Competition (2024), and the ISBnpa Young Adult SIG Best Publication Award (2023). She has delivered 35 presentations including 23 at international conferences and 12 invited presentations to entities including the Australian Government Department of Health.
