Rebecca McCutcheon is a Senior Lecturer in Acting & Directing at the Department of Drama, Theatre and Dance, Royal Holloway, University of London. She is a director and practice-led researcher specializing in site-specific and feminist performance, with a focus on reviving marginalized texts through immersive and innovative staging techniques.

McCutcheon co-founded Lost Text/Found Space and angels in the architecture, creating performances at iconic locations including Dilston Grove, The Roundhouse, and Kensington Palace. Her work has been funded by Arts Council England and supported by the AHRC during her practice-based PhD at Royal Holloway.
She has contributed to journals such as Theatre, Dance and Performance Training and Early Theatre, with outputs examining participatory performance training, affective dynamics, and experimental site-based practices.
