Rebecca Limb

Dr Rebecca Limb is a Lecturer in Law at Southampton Law School, specializing in Child Medical Law, Biomedical Law and Ethics, and Children’s Participation. Her research bridges medicine and law, focusing on children's meaningful engagement in healthcare decisions and legal barriers to their autonomy.

She employs Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis and Lived Experience methodology to amplify under-represented voices in policy and clinical practice. Current projects include interdisciplinary collaborations with the University of Warwick on data trusts for children's data rights in birth cohort studies. She contributes to the Humanities and Social Sciences Communications editorial board.

Research trends span pediatric consent, organ donation, pandemic ethics, and vaccination mandates. Her work intersects legal frameworks with social justice, disability rights, and healthcare equity.
