Rebecca Kronk is a Full Professor at the Duquesne University School of Nursing, where she has served since 2010. She holds a PhD in Applied Developmental Psychology and an MSN in Pediatric Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, alongside a BSN from Carlow College. Her expertise spans pediatric genetics, disability nursing, and genomic education.

Dr. Kronk’s research focuses on improving genomic literacy among nurses, developing disability-related healthcare competencies, and addressing sleep disorders in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. She pioneered the Consultant with Disability Simulation Program and Stages II Camp for youth with disabilities. Her recent work includes NIH-funded genomic education initiatives and studies on vaccine refusal and health equity.
Her publications highlight trends in genetic education, disability care simulations, and pediatric sleep research. She received multiple awards, including the Gaultier Fellowship and Pittsburgh Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Academia Award. Dr. Kronk is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurses and National League of Nursing.
