Dr. Rebecca Kariuki is an Assistant Professor at the School of Sustainability, Arizona State University, specializing in conservation, land-use systems, and socio-ecological dynamics in African landscapes. She holds affiliations as an African Academy of Science Affiliate (2022) and was a Climate Change Fellow at AIMS Rwanda (2022) and Carson Fellow at the Rachel Carson Center, Germany (2021).

Publications emphasize conservation governance, socio-ecological resilience, and land-cover interactions, primarily using scenario-based frameworks to address sustainability in African contexts. Trends include participatory modeling, transdisciplinary research, and policy-relevant conservation science.
